An honest space for bold hearts and complex stories

Practice Philosophy

At Belle Love Integrative Therapy, healing begins with the love you nurture within. I work with those who carry complexity, those who feel deeply, live boldly, and often wonder where they truly belong. Whether you see the world differently, feel like an outsider, or struggle to fit the mould, you are welcome here. Our work is grounded in the belief that self-love is the foundation for meaningful growth and connection. In our time together, you can expect to be met with empathy, warmth, and deep respect for your inner experience as we explore how your relationship with yourself shapes your connections, your presence, and the way you love.

For over 20 years, I’ve been immersed in subcultures that challenge societal norms. With both lived and academic experience in alternative communities and relationship structures, I am passionate about supporting those whose identities or desires defy convention. If that resonates, I see you. In our work, the therapeutic relationship becomes a mirror inviting presence, curiousity, and reflection to foster insight and authentic change.

My approach is rooted in person-centred therapy (PCT), grounded in the belief that growth occurs when we are seen, heard, and accepted without judgment. I draw from symbolic interactionism to explore how identity is shaped through social roles, and from Jungian psychology to support integration of the shadow self, including the parts of us we have learned to hide or reject. I also bring in existential principles that help clients explore meaning, freedom, and responsibility. Therapy becomes a present-focused space to question inherited narratives and reclaim your truth. Depending on your needs, I integrate cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), emotionally focused therapy (EFT) for relationships, and body-based awareness techniques that support emotional connection through mindfulness and experiential work. Each process is tailored to your unique goals and ways of being.

Integrative, Evidence-Based Approaches

  • Humanistic, Person-Centred Therapy (PCT): Rooted in empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard, we co-create a space where you feel seen, heard, and empowered to grow.

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): Identifying and reshaping thought patterns and behaviours that no longer serve you.

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT): Deepening emotional connection and creating lasting change in your relationships.

  • Jungian Psychology (Shadow Work): Gently exploring the parts of yourself you may have learned to hide, reject, or feel shame about, supporting integration and self-acceptance.

  • Existential Exploration: Reflecting on purpose, values, and identity to support alignment during life transitions or uncertainty.

  • Symbolic Interactionism: Grounded in the understanding that meaning is shaped through social interaction, we explore how your identity, roles, and beliefs have been influenced and how they can evolve.

Somatic Awareness: Optional body-based tools to support nervous system regulation, emotional processing, and reconnection with your inner wisdom, offered within scope and with consent.
