Events & Speaking Engagements
I’m not just a therapist. I’m also a speaker, educator, and active community member, especially within the worlds of ethical non-monogamy, relationship diversity, and the electronic music culture I’ve been part of for over two decades.
My work centers on a concept I developed in 2023 called Ethical Love, a values-based, conscious approach to relationships across diverse structures and identities. At the heart of this work is the REACH framework: Respect. Evolution. Autonomy. Communication. Honesty. These five principles guide my workshops, public talks, and therapeutic education sessions throughout Toronto and beyond.
Core Themes:
I offer engaging, therapeutic presentations and educational events on:
Ethical non-monogamy (polyamory, open relationships, swinging)
Love and connection through the lens of identity, stigma, and societal norms
Ancient Greek concepts of love, reimagined through modern relational boundaries.
Relationship diversity and de-stigmatization
Integrative healing and self-reclamation
Mental wellness through dance, music, and community, especially in outdoor and rave-based settings
Shadow Culture & Mental Health Advocacy:
As a mental health advocate immersed in what I describe as shadow culture, I understand after-dark and alternative spaces not as places of escape, but as sites of authenticity, creativity, and connection. Within rave, nightlife, and other expressive communities, music becomes medicine, movement becomes meaning, and connection becomes collective regulation. These environments function as modern rituals of release, resistance, and reclamation, offering spaces where people can be fully embodied and emotionally alive.
My work bridges psychology and culture by bringing reflective, psychologically grounded conversations into communities that value openness, embodiment, and self-understanding. Through presentations such as From Monogamy to Polyamory: Exploring Ethical Non-Monogamy (Oasis Aqualounge, 2023 and 2024) and The Boundless Nature of Love: Ancient Wisdom Meets Modern Principles (Oasis Online Broadcast, 2024), I have explored love, identity, and relational ethics in ways that meet people where they already gather and connect.
I continue this work through ongoing collaborations with Oasis Aqualounge. On November 13, 2025, I returned to the Oasis online platform for my fourth collaboration, presenting Shadow Desire: The Psychology of Attraction, Authenticity, and Ethical Love. This psychoeducational session examined Jung’s concept of the shadow in relation to desire, attraction, and ethical non-monogamy, inviting participants to explore how unintegrated aspects of self shape intimacy and relational dynamics. Through a lens of psychological integration and ethical connection, the session emphasized how embracing the shadow can deepen authenticity and transform how we relate to both others and ourselves.
On April 1, 2026, I will return to Oasis Aqualounge for an in-person, in-club presentation titled Rethinking Polyamory: Love, Autonomy, & Identity. This talk moves beyond viewing polyamory as a relationship structure and instead approaches it as an orientation toward love, autonomy, and honesty. Drawing on cultural conditioning, identity formation, and Jungian shadow work, the presentation offers a grounded, reflective exploration of how we form and sustain connection. It is designed for anyone curious about love beyond prescribed scripts, regardless of how they currently relate.
My advocacy also extends into embodied community spaces. In May 2025, I co-hosted Make It Funky in Toronto, an event where mental health met the dance floor in a celebration of joy, awareness, and embodied care within the rave community. When I returned to host again in October and December 2025, my focus was on cultivating inclusive, welcoming environments that kept the energy playful, the music soulful, and the community connected and well.
That same season, I co-facilitated the Free Wellness Community Day at the Women’s Health Collaborative in Toronto. Alongside sound-healing and breathwork practitioners, I helped create an accessible, integrative wellness experience grounded in connection, embodiment, and nervous-system support. Although originally planned outdoors, the session was moved indoors due to the weather, resulting in an unexpectedly intimate and grounding atmosphere.
As an active member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA), I remain engaged in ongoing professional development and national mental health dialogue. I have attended CCPA conferences in Prince Edward Island (2024) and Calgary (2025), and I will attend the 2026 CCPA Conference in Halifax. These experiences continue to inform my commitment to inclusivity, cultural responsiveness, and ethically grounded practice across both clinical and community-based settings.
Across all of this work, my advocacy is guided by a core belief: healing begins when people feel seen, safe, and free to be whole. Whether on the dance floor, in community spaces, or within the therapy room, I continue to approach mental wellness as a living, embodied practice rooted in sound, connection, and shared humanity.
